Molly was only 10 years old when she attempted to take her own life for the first time.
But it wasn’t until she was 13, having made a second attempt, that her parents became aware of the severity of their daughter’s mental ill-health.
“The thought that she may have been suffering with depression or anxiety at such a young age never entered our thoughts,” says Molly’s mother, Sue.
“It was a subject that was very rarely talked about or acknowledged, especially for such a young person.
“I wish we had known then what we know now.”
